The Board of County Commissioners of Lewis and Clark County, Montana are soliciting proposals for Treasure State Acres Park Playground Design and Installation. The Lewis and Clark County Board of County Commissioners is seeking proposals from qualified firms to design and install playground equipment at the park located in the Treasure State Acres (TSA) Park District. Scope of Services The project includes the following aspects: Design a playground for an area measuring 49 feet 4 inches by 79 feet 9 inches; Remove existing playground equipment, except for slide; Install direct-bolt, clampless playground equipment to include: o Swing set - five swings and one adaptive chair swing; o Balance beam and/or other balance equipment; o Play system designed to improve accessibility for children of all ability levels, as appropriate; o Panel system for children ages 2 years old and up; o Picnic table; o Two (2) benches; Remove gravel base material and install engineered wood fiber material; Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to participate in this solicitation. Owner Rights: The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to add or delete items and/or quantities, to waive any irregularities and/or informalities in any proposal, to postpone the acceptance of the proposal and the award of contract for a period not to exceed 30 working days from the date of the receipt of proposals and to further advertise the RFP, and to make the award that is in the best interests of Lewis and Clark County. Lewis and Clark County may reject any proposal that is not within the County's budget resources for this project or not in compliance with all prescribed proposal procedures and requirements. Lewis and Clark County may reject for good cause any and all proposals upon a finding of the County that it is in the public's interest to do so. This project is subject to the availability of funds. The initial contract term and any renewal periods are subject to negotiation. This solicitation is being offered in accordance with federal and state statutes governing procurement of professional services. Accordingly, Lewis and Clark County reserves the right to negotiate an agreement based on fair and reasonable compensation for the scope of work and services proposed. Proposals become the property of Lewis and Clark County. The County is not responsible for paying costs associated with preparing a proposal.
