The project is located at 111 Wellington Street, Ottawa, Ontario. The approximate construction dollar values of anticipated scopes of work will vary. For the purposes of this prequalification and the mandatory bonding requirements noted at 6.7.1, bidders may submit their one (1) Statement of Qualification for any combination of the following: Prequalification Package 1048 A - CB Heritage Fine Woodwork Restoration and Reinstallation for projects valued at up to $2M; and/or Prequalification Package 1048 B - CB Heritage Fine Woodwork Restoration and Reinstallation for projects valued from $2M to $5M; and/or Prequalification Package 1048 C - CB Heritage Fine Woodwork Restoration and Reinstallation for projects valued from $5M to $10M. Bidders to note which of the prequalification packages (A and/or B and/or C) they are submitting for in their Bidders Statement of Qualification Introduction Letter, in accordance with 6.2. The project is located at 111 Wellington Street, Ottawa, Ontario. This prequalification process is the first phase of a two-phase procurement process; the second phase is the tendering process. During the Tendering Phase, the prequalified bidders will be invited to prepare and to submit stipulated price tenders for this work. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a Stipulated Price Subcontract contract with the Construction Manager. This Request for Qualifications document sets out the requirements for the submission of the Bidders Statement of Qualifications and specifies the evaluation criteria and Bidder selection process for this phase. The scope of the Centre Block (CB) Rehabilitation Project includes a comprehensive rehabilitation of CB and its integrated Peace Tower, along with the completion of the Parliament Welcome Centre (PWC), which began in 2019. The 1920 Centre Block building is six storeys above grade with mezzanines on the 3rd and 4th floors and a basement. The building measures approximately 144 metres by 75 metres. The building is essentially rectangular with exterior elevations that reflect its symmetrical, bi-axial plan. The interior gross area of all floors, including the mezzanines and basement, is approximately 50,500 square metres. The Peace Tower has a gross floor area of approximately 1,200 square metres. The Parliament Welcome Centre is a 3 storey below grade complex of approximately 32,600 square metres. The new building will serve as a new entry into Centre Block for visitors and expand the space for parliamentarians whilst blending seamlessly with the heritage buildings currently on Parliament Hill. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform. The project value listed reflects the total project estimate.
