Chittenden County, VT water and wastewater facilities invite you to submit a quotation for chemicals. Facilities and contact information participating in this purchasing consortium are below. Pricing must include the following: Be in units requested. Failure to do so will result in the automatic rejection of the quote. Quotation period is July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. Remain firm throughout the stated 12-month period. Include delivery to facilities during normal business hours (7 AM to 2 PM) Include potential fuel surcharges The participating facilities reserve the right to reject any or all quotes received. Any inability to deliver product or to hold pricing will immediately declare any agreement on price and delivery null and void at the discretion of each participating facility. Chemicals specified for bulk delivery shall not exceed DOT legal limits. It is the intent of participating facilities to receive full load bulk deliveries, except as noted in "Special Notes and Conditions." It is the responsibility of the supplier to coordinate any split delivery; however, local facilities actively participate in the process. Ordering will be conducted by each facility. Invoices shall be directed to the facility receiving the delivery. The facilities agree to cooperate with the chemical suppliers to minimize short load deliveries. However, short load deliveries may be required. SPECIAL NOTES AND CONDITIONS We are requesting quotations of 15% Bulk Sodium Hypochlorite Solution (available chlorine by volume). This is understood to be 12.5% minimum available chlorine by weight at delivery and shall be certified for compliance with the ANSI/NSF Standard 60 for drinking water additives. Said certification shall be by either NSF International or Underwriters Laboratory. We require this certification on all bulk loads, as split loads are often between water supply and wastewater treatment facilities. For 15% (by volume) Bulk Sodium Hypochlorite Solution, provide confirmation of your ability to provide 24-hour emergency delivery. Delivery vehicles must have the capability to blow clear all lines from the truck side of the connection. The City of Burlington is requesting specific pricing on full load as they are able to accept full loads of the following chemicals with single and/or multiple stops within the city as follows: Sodium hypochlorite up to all 4 Burlington locations depending on need Sodium Aluminate between North and East locations depending on need Alum between Main and Water locations depending on need BURLINGTON WATER Hydrofluorosilicic Acid: Short loads. Please price in 1,000, 1,200, and 1,500 quantities per short load. BURLINGTON WWTFS (Burlington Main, North Avenue, Riverside Avenue) 15% Sodium Hypochlorite: Maximum volume to be coordinated with facility contact. 34% Ferric Chloride: Maximum delivery 3,000. 38% Sodium Aluminate: Maximum load 2,500 gallons, (if both locations need it). 50% Alum: Maximum load 4,000 gallons. COLCHESTER 38% Ferrous Chloride Solution: Maximum delivery 4,500 gallons. 65% Calcium Nitrate Solution: Maximum delivery 4,000. ESSEX JUNCTION 38% Sodium Bisulfite: Maximum load 2500 gallons. MILTON 50% Alum: Maximum delivery 4,000 gallons. 65% Calcium Nitrate Solution: Maximum delivery 3,000 gallons, with the remaining portion of a full bulk load split with another participating facility.
