Site work, paving, new construction and addition to a mixed-use development in Bristol, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the addition of a fire / police facility; for the construction of a fire / police facility; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and fire / police facility.

Questions Due Date: Jun 26th 2024, 4:00 PM EDT All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer by clicking on the Questions tab within PennBid. Work under the four (4) contracts comprises the construction of public improvements at the existing Bristol Township Senior Center. The existing Senior Center is proposed to be converted to a Fire Station and includes a building addition to the new Fire Station. Additionally, a new Senior Center building is proposed to be constructed on the property. The work under the General contract at the proposed Senior Center & Fire Station Addition includes, but is not limited to; mobilization, the purchase and erection of a new Senior Center building and Fire Station addition, milling, paving, line striping, E&S control installation, concrete sidewalk and curb installation, curb ramp installation, bollards, dumpster pad installation, landscaping, gravel access driveway installation, pavilion purchase and installation, roof repair, installation of stormwater facilities, earthwork, tree removal, fence installation, and lighting installation. Add Alternate #1 includes work associated with the replacement of the roof at the existing Senior Center (to be converted to a Fire Station). The work under the Electrical Contract includes but is not limited to; mobilization, electrical service installation to the new Senior Center and installation of interior/exterior electrical equipment (wiring, lighting, outlets, etc.) at both the new Senior Center as well as the Fire Station in accordance with the Site and Electrical Plans. The work under the Plumbing Contract includes but is not limited to; mobilization, sanitary sewer service connection, water service connection, meter pit, fire hydrant, and lateral installation, and installation of interior plumbing facilities (toilets, piping, sinks, floor drains, etc.) at both the new Senior Center and Fire Station in accordance with the Site and Plumbing Plans. The work under the Plumbing contract also includes the installation of the proposed fire suppression system within the new Senior Center building. A nominal fee of 0.33% of the bid amount (up to $5,000) is assessed only to bidders who are awarded contracts. For bidders who are not the winning bid; there are absolutely no fees. The work under the Mechanical Contract includes but is not limited to; mobilization and installation of new HVAC equipment (HVAC Unit, ductwork, vent covers, etc.) at both the new Senior Center and Fire Station in accordance with the Mechanical Plans. The work under the Mechanical Contract also includes installation of a new air cleaner system within the new Fire Station. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of Bristol Township and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by Bristol Township. The work to be performed under this Agreement is a project assisted under a program providing direct Federal financial assistance from HUD and its subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended (12 U.S.C. 1702). Section 3 requires that to the greatest extent feasible opportunities for training and employment be given to low-and very low-income residents of the project area, and that contracts for work in connection with the project be awarded to business concerns that provide economic opportunities for low- and very low-income persons residing in the metropolitan area in which the project is located. The Bidder's attention is called to the fact that the project is receiving funds under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, and that the Davis-Bacon Act applies to this Contract and the successful Bidder shall pay no less than the Federal Wage Rates determined for the project area as set forth in the Contract Documents. The successful Bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The completion of all CDBG Non-Discrimination Documents must also be submitted at the time of the bid. This project is subject to applicable requirements of the Township's Responsible Contractor Ordinance for work valued at over Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000). This Project was financed in part by a grant from the federal Department of Treasury, under the administration of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. Bristol Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or parts thereof, and to accept the bid, which it deems, in its sole judgment, to be in the best interest of the Township.
