EGLE DWSRF FY23 / FY24 Water System Improvements Contract 2 - Water Supply. The project includes the construction of one new well house to serve two new production wells. The well house includes vertical turbine well pump equipment, process piping, valves, chemical feed systems, electrical gear, and standby generator. Site work includes, clearing, grading, site watermain, installation of submersible well pump and pitless adapter and all related work. There are also four other separate contracts as part of this project, which includes the replacement of watermain (Contract 1), lead service line replacements (Contract 3), water storage tank improvements (Contract 4), and water meter installations (Contract 5). In addition, there are lead service line replacements outside of the DWSRF project area that are expected to be completed by the City of Re ed City. Davis Bacon Act prevailing wages, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), Debarment Certifications, Build America Buy America (BABA), 29 CFR Part 5, and Minimum Wage Rates apply to this contract. Bids will be accepted only from Plan Holders of Record. In order to be a Plan Holder of Record, Bidding Documents must be obtained from an Issuing Office mentioned above. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The City of Re ed City reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the City of Re ed City. Items of work include: The construction of a municipal well house, including but not limited to: tree removal, site grading, gravel driveway construction, concrete, two new municipal well pumps and related components, well house piping, chemical feed system, site watermain connections of new well to the existing distribution system, and all related work, Electrical work for new well house, including but not limited to, new electrical services, standby generator, building power and lighting circuits, and all related work. Water System control and monitoring at new well house. Abandonment of Well No.4 and demolition of well house. Abandonment of Well No.3 Abandonment of two (2) White Birch Estate wells. Compliance with provisions of the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act. Davis Bacon Act Prevailing Wages do apply to this contract.
