Contact information via Email west1119@umn.edu This Request for Proposals (RFP) is issued by Purchasing Services for the University of Minnesota, Department of Energy Management on the Twin Cities Campus to retrofit existing High Pressure Sodium Greenhouse Lighting Fixtures with LED fixtures at greenhouses across the St Paul Campus. The first project location will be at the Horticulture Research Greenhouse, Building 370. It is the intent of the University to have interested Responders provide LED fixtures that will satisfy the contract requirements and specifications provided within this Solicitation. This RFP is for materials only (LED fixtures). No labor or installation is required. Light fixtures will be installed via internal labor within the University Respondents are prohibited from contacting the identified department about this RFP while in process. The University of Minnesota owns and operates greenhouses in 10 buildings throughout the St Paul campus that are managed by Minnesota Agricultural Experiment Station (MAES). The MAES supports the research of University of Minnesota scientists across numerous colleges and disciplines. One service offered by the MAES is managed access to the Plant Growth Facilities (PGF) Greenhouses. Current users of the PGF greenhouses are comprised of researchers, students, and faculty from the College of Food, Agriculture and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS), the College of Biological Sciences (CBS), and the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) The PGF greenhouses encompass approximately 100,000 square feet with 47,000 square feet of bench space and include automated systems for heating, cooling, irrigation, and lighting.
