Site work and paving for a civil project in Jackson, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consists of, but is limited to, the following: o Installation of the storm drain with grate inlet along the road to carry stormwater and discharge into an existing ditch. o Grading the existing ditch to make an outfall from the proposed storm drain. o Construction of a V-shaped ditch (swale) to direct stormwater from storm drain to an existing ditch as per plans. o Restoring the pavement after the installation of the storm drain. o Placing 2 to 4 inches of asphalt pavement to re-surfacing approximately 1000-LF of roadway. o Installation of traffic signage and striping of the pavement. All works shall be carried out as per the Standard Specification of the current edition of Mississippi Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction adopted and approved by Office of State Aid Road Construction, Mississippi Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration are made a part here of fully and completely as if it were attached hereto. Certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to Hinds County must accompany each proposal Contract Time: 60 Working Days Hinds County reserves the right to increase or decrease the scope of the Work performed by the Contractor under the Contract Documents. An appropriate increase or decrease in the Contract Sum and/or Contract Time shall be made for all such changes in the scope of the Work. The contractor shall be paid for the actual quantities installed. The attention of bidders is directed to the Contract Provisions governing selection and employment of labor. Minimum wage rates for Federal-Aid projects have been predetermined by the Secretary of Labor and are subject to Public Law 87-581 Work Hours Act of 1962, as set forth in the Contract Provisions. The award, if made, will be to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder on the basis of published quantities.
