Rehabilitation of Taxiway Alpha Phase Three. Project Background The TAP 3 project will rehabilitate the remaining areas of Taxiway Alpha that are not included in the Taxiway Alpha Phase 2 (TAP 2) project, which includes areas south of the intersection of Taxiway Alpha and Taxiway Bravo south to Taxiway A7. Scope of Work The project will include paving and lighting improvements to taxiways at the Jackson - Medgar Evers International Airport in Jackson, Mississippi. The project will include pavement demolition, asphalt milling, asphalt overlay of existing pavements, grading, storm drainage pipe and structures, pavement edge drains, widening of taxiway fillets, construction of paved shoulders, asphalt pavement, crushed aggregate base course, lime treated subgrade, airfield pavement markings, and taxiway lighting. This project is anticipated to receive a Bi-Partisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The selected firm must be familiar with the process and required documentation associated with the FAA's grant process. This includes, but is not limited to, FAA grant assurances, FAA airport design standards, 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 77 airspace requirements, as well as familiarization with applicable FAA Orders, Advisory Circulars (AC), and Interim Guidance. Upon receipt, each Proposal will be reviewed for conformance to the RFB instructions regarding organization, format, and required content. Proposals that are missing information such that a full evaluation cannot occur will be deemed nonresponsive and ineligible for further consideration.
