Renovation of an educational facility in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals for the purposes of entering into a contract through competitive negotiations for the professional services of an Architectural/Engineering firm, authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia, with experience in the design and renovation of higher education academic, laboratory, classroom, faculty office and administrative spaces including all associated infrastructure where the parameters of continued adjacent occupancy and a constrained site apply. This project is a complete life-cycle renovation and ADA upgrade of a historic structure on the Bluestone area, 18,700 gross square foot, Johnston Hall, and 11,000 square foot addition for continued use as an academic building. After renovation and addition, Johnston Hall will continue to house faculty offices for Graduate Psychology programs and the Center for Assessment and Research Studies (CARS), clinic, labs, multi-use space, and administrative offices. Copies of plans are NOT available. If a vendor is selected to the shortlist and moves to the interview process, a copy of plans and study will be provided at that time. In compliance with this Request For Proposals, which includes the attached Table of Contents and all provisions and appendices attached and referenced therein, and subject to all the terms and conditions set forth herein, the undersigned offers and agrees to furnish the services described in the RFP cited above and submit this signed proposal which includes this completed and signed page, the completed and signed Forms JMUAE1, AE-2, AE-3, AE-4, AE-5 and AE-6 and other data as required by the RFP. It is understood that this proposal and the scope of services may be modified, by mutual agreement in subsequent negotiations. The offeror shall be a registered vendor in eVA. Expertise, experience, and qualifications of the A/E's proposed team (project manager, lead designer, consultants, etc.) in each relative discipline for providing the services described in Section IV, Scope of Services relevant to the project described in Section III, Background. (45 pts) Provide complete demolition and construction contract documents with professional seals and signatures in accord with the procedures of the A/E Manual. Documents must be complete and ready for receipt of the Invitation for Bid not later than April 23, 2025. Documents must be finally complete, with all regulatory and bureaucratic approvals, not later than July 1, 2025. Copies of plans are NOT available.
