This Contract provides for the construction of sidewalks on the north side of Stanley Street from Jordan Road to Prospect Avenue, approximately 1,150 feet. Improvements include, but are not limited to, excavation, grading. cement concrete curb, gutter and sidewalks, storm drainage improvements, asphalt paving, conduit, junction boxes and foundations for pedestrian level lighting, channelization, traffic control and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. This Contract also provides for additive work to furnish and install pedestrian level street lights and activate the lighting system (Additive 1), replace approximately 160 feet of sidewalks on East Alpine Street, approximately 20 feet of sidewalk on Hemming Way and approximately 30 feet of sidewalk on Stilley Way (Additive 2), furnish and install an RRFB at Portage Avenue (Additive 3) and to furnish and install an RRFB at Kentucky Avenue (Additive 4) are included in the Contract. This additive work may or may not be awarded. The Work shall be substantially complete within 70 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Granite Falls, Washington. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashiers check, or Proposal bond payable to the "City of Granite Falls" and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount.
