Renovation of a mixed-use development in Sikeston, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

The Sikeston Housing Authority is accepting bid proposals for bathroom and kitchen renovations to take place in 37 ground level apartments. The Housing Authority is a Tax Exempt Agency. Sales tax shall not be included in any Contractor's Bid Proposal. In accordance with Clause No. 9, Bid Guarantee, of the Instructions to Bidders, all bids must be accompanied by a negotiable Bid Guarantee in the form of a certified check payable to the Sikeston Housing Authority, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent 5% of the bid. The surety company must be authorized to do business in the state where the project is located and must be acceptable to the Government. If the Bid Guarantee is not submitted with bid, bid will be rejected. Successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds in accordance with Clause No. 10, Assurance of Completion, of the Instruction to Bidders. Successful Bidder will be required to have General Liability and Vehicle Liability Insurance with a combined single limit in the amount of One Million Dollars and Workman's Compensation Insurance according to the Laws of the State of Missouri. Attention is called to the Provisions for Equal Employment Opportunity and that payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Specifications (Federal/Davis-Bacon) must be paid on this project. Any State rate that exceeds the corresponding Federal rate is inapplicable and shall not be enforced. A copy of the Federal Wage rate to be used is included in the specifications. Bid Form, Non-Collusive Affidavit, HUD Statements of Bidders, Section 3 Forms, Previous Participation Form, and Bid Bond shall be submitted with each bid. (Forms are included in the Bid Package). The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty days (60) after the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority. The Sikeston Housing Authority is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
