Johnson County Stormwater Management Program is beginning a new Pipe Replacement Program. The need county-wide far outstrips available funds and recent changes in the County's Administrative Policies have moved a portion of their flood remediation funds for Capital Improvement Program to the new Pipe Replacement fund. This fund is set up to be a 50:50 cost share. 8 projects were submitted for funding consideration that meet the new program parameters. Mill Valley High School is the proposed project for 2026 and includes the replacement of four pipes (499 LF) and one structure. The City share of this program is funded through the Stormwater Utility fee. Annual, as well as, historic pipe and structure condition inspection data provide the basis for prioritizing repairs. The project is include in the City's 2024-2033 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
