The work includes but is not limited to all labor, materials, tools, oversight and permits required to automate front entrance door functions and remodel an existing bathroom. A Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. In accordance with Executive Orders 11625, 12138, and Columbia Countys MBE plan, the Awarded Contractor must utilize, to the greatest extent feasible, minority and/or women owned business concerns. Bidders are hereby notified that MBE/WBE firms will be afforded full opportunity to bid without discrimination. Davis Bacon Wage Rates shall apply. In addition to the Equal Employment requirements of Executive Order 11246 regarding discrimination, the Awarded Contractor must establish a 3% goal for female participation and a 5% goal for minority participation in his/her aggregate on-site construction workforce for contracts in excess of $10,000. Section 3 requires that the Awarded Contractor must utilize, to the greatest extent feasible, local area businesses, trainees, employees, and low-moderate income persons within the general trade area to reach a goal of 10%.
