Bids are invited upon the scope of work as follows: The City of Charleston is accepting bids for the installation (labor, equipment and materials) of two complete generator systems including: one generator for Fire Station 1 (404 10 th Street) and one generator for Fire Station 2 (1510 A Street) in Charleston, Illinois. The winning bid shail be determined based on the lowest responsive / responsible bidder. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Charleston, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bond shall be submitted with each Bid Attention is called to the fact that the firm must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin and that all other Federal, State, and Local provisions shall apply. Prevailing wage is required to be paid to all employees working on this project according to the current rates and classifications.
