Work to include valve installation, connections to existing sanitary sewer force mains and manholes, manhole treatment, pavement restoration, and other work. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check for five percent of the amount of the proposal made payable to the City Treasurer, or an approved bid bond for five percent of the amount of the proposal executed on the approved form attached to these specifications. If bid bond is used, the five percent may be shown in dollars and cents or the form may be filled in by inserting therein, in lieu thereof, "five percent of the amount of the accompanying proposal".
