Site work for a water / sewer project in Sicamous, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The District of Sicamous (District) is requesting proposals to replace the existing wooden loading dock, serving the public boat launch, accessed off the parking lot at the West end of Finlayson Street. The existing loading dock has deteriorated significantly and needs to be replaced. The intent is that the existing dock footprint remains the same and that the existing piles remain to be used to secure the new dock. The proponent will be required to remove and dispose of the existing dock and to supply and install the new dock. The site is located within the Sicamous Narrows, at the West end of Finlayson Street in Sicamous. The Proponent will be able to utilize the public boat launch to remove the old dock and to launch the new dock. The boat launch and the loading dock are in service so scheduling will be important to reduce the impact on boat launch users. The Place of the Work, is available for the immediate commencement of the Work. The anticipated start date is June 24, 2024. The Contractor will schedule the Work accordingly.
