Renovation of a mixed-use development in South Salt Lake, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Specifications to Repair / Level Concrete Slab in Main Gymnasium at Granite Park Junior High School, 3031 South 200 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Scope of work 1) Granite School District is requesting the services of a licensed general contractor to repair concrete slab in main gymnasium. It will be the responsibility of the Contractor to protect the surrounding areas from any damage. All damage done to the facility during repairs will be the responsibility of the contractor to repair as part of this project. o Clean existing slab of all debris and dispose of offsite. o Prep existing slab for sealer and self-leveling underlayment material, including but not limited to foam all gap, grind cracks and high spots. o Apply sealer per manufacturer specifications. o Pump in 9,500 sq ft of self-leveling cement smoothing and floor patch compound material to maximum of 1" and minimum of 3/4 " per manufactures specifications. o New underlayment material shall meet 1/8 inch (plus or minus) in a 10-foot radius tolerance. To be verified by owner (Granite School District). Invitations for bids for construction contracts estimated to exceed $50,000 shall require the submission of a bid bond (or the equivalent in cash) in an amount equal to at least 5% of the bid, at the time the bid is submitted. The bid bond, check or cash of the accepted bidder shall be forfeited in the event said bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract and/or fails to furnish the additional bonds required herein. A performance bond and a payment bond, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the state and listed in the U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570, are required for all construction contracts in excess of $50,000, in the amount of 100% of the contract price. The performance and payment bonds shall be delivered by the contractor to the procurement unit within fourteen days of the contractor receiving notice of the award of the construction contract. If a contractor fails to deliver the required bonds, the contractor's bid/offer shall be rejected, its bid security may be enforced, and award of the contract may be made to the responsible bidder or offeror with the next lowest responsive bid or highest ranked offer.
