The Work of Lead Hazard Reduction and Healthy Homes Intervention. Two separate bids required. , Install new rainleaders and gutters Location- 228 Grassy Hill Rd Waterbury, CT 06704 The Waterbury Healthy Homes Program (WHHP) is undertaking a lead-based paint abatement project located at 228 Grassy Hill Road in Waterbury, Connecticut. The Site building consists of a single-family residential building. The interior of the dwelling along with the exterior areas have been comprehensively tested for lead-based paint. Toxic levels of lead-based paint was identified on one (1) railing system associated with the basement. One (1) child under the age of six (6) years old resided at the residential single-family home at the time of inspection. All work specified in the Scope of Work must be performed by a State of Connecticut Department of Public Health (CT DPH) licensed Lead Abatement Contractor. There are no known lead-based paint abatement orders or notice of violations on the inspected Site building. This Specification incorporates the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes Policy Guidance Number 2017-01 concerning New Lead Clearance Action Levels. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All bids in excess of $50,000.00 be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the Total Bid Price. The Bidder to whom a contract is offered, must furnish to the City, if that contract has a total cost greater than $50,000, a 100 percent Performance Bond with a surety company acceptable to the City and in a form acceptable to the City. In the City's sole discretion, it may also require a 100 percent Payment Bond and/or other additional security with a surety acceptable to the City and in a form acceptable to the City. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control has awarded the Waterbury Department of Public Health and the Healthy Homes Program funding to carry out activities associated with a Lead Based Paint Hazard Control Program.
