As of May 13, 2025, a contractor has been selected for this project. Construction is expected to begin this month. *Previous solicitation listed below for reference:* Reference Number 0000354257 The City of Lakewood (the City) is seeking qualified persons or entities (Respondents) to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for Architectural Services for the City of Lakewood Navigation Center located at 8000 W. Colfax Avenue, Lakewood, CO 80214. The awarded Respondent shall work with City staff to develop design drawings and specifications into a set of construction plans; provide an estimate of probable cost; provide construction documents, which supplement the City's general conditions; and provide project construction observation assistance following award. The City is not requesting a cost of services with this submittal. The City may shortlist Respondents and negotiate cost at that time. The City's Navigation Center is a highly used facility for serving the needs of the City's unhoused population. The Navigation Center has previously been used as an auto show room, among other uses. The City is in the process of acquiring the building and expects ownership no later than December 2024. The facility will need to be renovated to meet the needs of the expected use. In addition, several features are in need of repair, replacement, and upgrades to maintain and elevate this facility to the quality the City desires for its community. Design shall be complete by September 1, 2024, with construction taking place Q2 and Q3 of 2025.
