Greenhouse Renovations It is the intent of the College of Lake County (CLC) to enter into an Agreement with a Contractor to perform demolition as needed, install new floor drains, scrape, prime and paint gutters, replace mechanical devices, and remove and reinstall electrical components as needed to facilitate panel replacement. The contractor would also be reassigned the Owner's panel replacement contractor as a subcontractor for this project. If the alternates are accepted, the intent would also include replacing existing exterior doors and hardware, installing rigid insulation and replacing the existing downspouts as identified herein. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Certified or Cashier's Check made payable to the College of Lake County for not less than ten percent (10%) of the proposal amount. CST on June 17, 2024. All responses will be posted on the College website by 4:00 P.M. CST on June 18, 2024. AWARD Award shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who best meets the specifications and requirements as identified herein, including financial capacity to perform, experience and qualifications performing similar work, and scheduling based upon the criteria specified herein. A performance bond satisfactory to the College, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Illinois, in an amount equal to 100 percent (100%) of the purchase order issued by the College as security for the faithful performance of the College's contract; and A payment bond satisfactory to the College, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Illinois, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and materials to the Contractor or Subcontractors for the performance of work provided for in the contract, in an amount equal to 100 percent (100%) of the purchase order issued by the College.
