Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Allen Park, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Approx. 20 Lead Water Tap Replacement, Long side, from main to curb stop, up to 60 Linear Feet; o Approx. 20 Lead Water Tap Replacement, Short Side, from main to curb stop; o Approx. 75 Lead Water Service Replacement from curb stop to residential water meter inside the house with basement, up to 60 linear feet; o Approx. 10 Lead Water Service Replacement from curb stop to residential water meter inside the house with floor slab/crawl space, up to 60 linear feet; o Install approx. 100 feet additional length of 1 inch copper water service line, applies to tap or service; o If necessary, City will provide water meter; o Removal and replacement of approx. 125 curb stop and box, 1-inch valve; o Removal and replacement of approx. 1,200 Sft of concrete sidewalk; o Removal and replacement of approx. 125 Syd of 6-inch concrete driveway; o Removal and replacement of approx. 100 Syd of 8-inch concrete pavement; o Provide a price to substitute the 6-inch concrete with 4-inch HMA; o If necessary, repair approx. 10 Sprinkler pipe, head, elec, etc. (item is per lot); o Misc. Erosion Control, Temporary Inlet Sediment Filter; o Traffic Maintenance and Control, restoration, clean-up, and related work; o Provide a price for exploratory excavation if necessary to determine existing pipe material (per residence); o All other related items; Construction shall start after July 1, 2024. All time limits for Milestones, if any, Substantial Completion, and completion and readiness for final payment as stated in the Contract Documents are of the essence of the Contract. A. The Work will be substantially completed on or before March 28, 2025 in accordance with Paragraph 14.04 of the General Conditions. B. The Work will be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 14.07 of the General Conditions on or before May 16, 2025. Owner and contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty), contractor shall pay the owner five hundred and 00/100 dollars ($500.00) for each day All inquiries concerning the project should be directed to the C.E. Raines Company at telephone 734-285-7510. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, or money order, executed by the Bidder and Surety firm, licensed to perform business in the State of Michigan, and payable to the City of Allen Park in the amount of Five Percent (5%) of the accompanying bid. Proposal guarantee shall provide assurance the Bidder will, upon acceptance of the bid, execute the necessary Contract with the City of Allen Park. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish separate Performance, Labor and Material, and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in its sole discretion, in whole or in part, for any reason Or for no reason at all, to waive any informality/technicality in bids received, and to award the contract to any Bidder, when such waiver is deemed to best serve the interest of the owner. A contract shall be awarded to the Lowest responsible and responsive bidder as determined by the owner.
