Twenty bridges located throughout the township are identified for needing repair. ARPA funding will be utilized for a portion of the work and contractor must meet/follow associated requirements. Work involved includes concrete repair, installation of rip-rap scour protection, cleaning and painting exposed beams, and channel sediment removal. Alternate bid items (which could be performed by either the contractor or Township personnel) include asphalt and settlement repairs, tree trimming/removal, masonry repointing, replacing signage, replacing guiderail, non-sediment debris removal, embankment drainage repair, and deck cleaning and flushing. Note that work at some bridges will be restricted to certain timeframes due to environmental concerns. Estimated Contract Value: $500,000

A 15% maintenance bond extending for a period of 18 months after substantial completion is also required. Upper Hanover Township reserves the right to waive any non-material defects or irregularities in the bid, and to reject any or all bids or portions thereof.
