Butler County Sheriff's Office Pole Building Addition at 705 Hanover Street, Hamilton, Ohio 45011 Bidders are required to use the forms furnished by the County when submitting their bid. Bidders must also comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Butler County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage & Hour Division. The Board of Butler County Commissioners reserves the right to waive informalities, to reject any and all bids, to accept the bid which is in the best interest of the County as determined by the Board, and to hold bids valid for sixty (60) days from the bid date. Butler County reserves the right to award partial bids to multiple vendors. Bidders may receive bid awards for some but not all of the items on the specified list. The Engineer's construction cost estimate for this project is $485,373.60. no later than 72 hours (excluding Saturday, Sunday and legal holidays) prior to the time fixed for the opening of bids. Owner's decision as to any question or as to any clarification or interpretation shall be final. It is the responsibility of each Bidder to check with the Owner prior to submission of his bid to be sure that he has received all addenda. The Owner will not be responsible for any explanation or interpretation of the bid documents made other than by addenda duly issued. The current building is a Pole Barn Style Metal Building with a roof of galvalume finished 26-gauge screw down panels; siding of 26-gauge siliconized polyester finished panels with exposed fasteners and corner trims and eave trims. General Construction: o The Contractor shall install a 22' x 200' x 15' addition (lean-to) to an existing 60' x 200' pole barn. The lean-to shall include but is not limited to a metal roof and concrete slab floor. o Uniform imposed roof and wall load shall be per the Ohio Building Code; o Northeast wall 200' x 15' shall match existing metal siding; o Include a 2' corner all at the north and south end openings with matching siding; o Support footers shall be 24" x 12" with 60" of concrete ballast to offset uplift loads. Treated post cleats are also required. Support footers must complu with local and state building codes; o Utilize 3-ply laminated post 8' on center; o Utilize 1/2 " rebar in bottom of post for hold-down to support poles/footers; o Include 2" x 4" wall purlins 2' on center; o Utilize 2" x 6" wainscoting seam on the outside of the building; o Utilize two (2) - 2" x 12" headers fasten with 4" Torx lag bolts throughout the building; o Utilize manufactured trusses 4" on center; o Utilize THA218 Simpson Truss Hangers;Additional lumber will be needed to connect the lean-to roof to the existing roof; o Utilize 2" x 4" roof purlins 2' on center; o The roof shall be a sloped screw down roof that complies with local and state building codes and will be attached to existing building; o The pitch angle of the current roof is a 4" rise for every 12"; o Utilize roof vapor barrier on metal roof must match existing roof; o All exterior metal and trim to be included must match existing building; o 6" x 200' gutter downspouts; o Contractor shall include cost estimate to repair, or restore landscape surrounding the building, if damaged. Seeding of disturbed area must be included. o Contractor must include labor cost for entire project. Concrete: o Concrete slab must be 22' x 200' x 6" thick; o Include fibermesh; o Concrete should be 4,000 psi mix; o Gravel backfill within the building; o Saw cut concrete to avoid cracking; o Cure and seal final floor; o Utilize gravel base; o Utilize 6 mil vapor barrier. The Contractor shall be responsible for: o Project management o Site supervision o Project accounting o Construction debris removal o Final cleaning o Builders' risk and liability insurance o Freight charges o Building permits - The contract will be responsible for paying the permit fee at the City of Hamilton Building Department.
