LOCATIONS OF WORK: A. Maple Avenue (T-545) - From near pump station to intersection with Westwood Road B. Maple Avenue (T-545) - From intersection with Edgewood Road to approx. 1,425' east. Sealed bids will be received by the Norwegian Township Supervisors, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania for the 2024 Road Improvement Project. All Bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days. The Work generally consists of furnishing all equipment, labor and materials for, but not necessarily limited to, the following: Bituminous Leveling Course (568 Ton), 9.5 MM overlay (1,136 Ton), incidental milling and sealing. The work location is more specifically identified in the project manual/bid documents and project exhibits. Bids for this Contract shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond, and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The project documents contain provisions regarding the applicability of PA Prevailing Wages. Liquid Fuels funds will be utilized for funding a portion of this project and all materials and work must conform to the most recent edition of PADOT Publication 408 unless otherwise specified. Bidders must be either a PennDOT Pre-qualified Prime or PennDOT Prequalified Sub-Contractor for Work Class F. Norwegian Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or portions thereof, and to accept any Bid, or portion of Bid, which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Township.
