Demolition, site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Saint Louis, Michigan. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Removal of existing bridge, construction of new bridge using geosyntheticallly reinforced soil abutments, and precast concrete substructure, precast prestressed concrete box beams with reinforced concrete deck. Project also includes use of tire derived aggregate in several items. STRUCTURE NUMBER: 6975 Bond Percentage 5.00% All contract work, agreed upon with the Engineer, shall commence no earlier than July 8, 2024. In no case, shall any work be commenced prior to receipt of formal notice of award by the Department. All contract work excluding restoration and punch list items must be complete and the project must be completely open to traffic on or before the date of substantial completion, November 30, 2024. All contract work, including restoration and punch list items, must be completed by April 30, 2025. Deadline 06/18/2024 04:00 PM EDT The right is reserved to reject any and all bids and any part of same, to waive irregularities in the bid procedure and to award, in the opinion of the Board, in the best interest of the Midland County Road Commission.
