Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Simi Valley, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As described in the Bidding Documents, the bids are for a public works project, FY 2024- 25 Annual Major Streets Rehabilitation Program: Los Angeles Avenue (Ralston Street to Yosemite Avenue) ("Project) which consists of 1) 320 LF of root pruning and root barrier installation; 2) 505,378 S.F. of 2 V asphalt pavement cold milling; 3) 2,570 S.F. of 6" asphalt pavement cold milling; 4) sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of 6,205 S.F. of sidewalk; 5) sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of 103 L.F. of curb and gutter; 6) sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of 980 S.F. of 8" residential driveway approach; 7) sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of 826 S.F. of cross gutter and spandrel; 8) sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of 1 parkway drain; 9) sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of 1,281 S.F. of bus turnout; 10) sawcut, removal, and installation of 7 cast-in-place truncated domes; 11) sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of 11 curb ramps; 12) 242 L.F. of concrete sidewalk grinding; 13) sawcut, removal and reconstruction of median curb and paved median; 14) placement of 8,300 tons of rubberized asphalt concrete surface course; 15) placement of 30 tons of asphalt concrete surface course; 16) placement of 50 tons of asphalt concrete base course; 17) traffic signing and pavement delineation; 18) adjustment and replacement of 25 sewer manhole frames, rings and covers; 19) adjustment and replacement of 38 water valve covers and concrete rings; 20) adjustment of 6 storm drain manholes to grade; 21) adjustment of 2 survey monuments to grade, and 22) all appurtenant work. The expected completion time of the Program is 70 consecutive working days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The Bid shall be submitted and the work shall be performed by a State of California Class A licensed contractor in strict conformance with Specification, and now on file in the City's Department of Public Works and the Office of the City Clerk. The terms and conditions for bidding on the Project are described in the attached Bidding Instructions. This Project requires payment of State prevailing rates of wages for Ventura County. The contractor must post copies of the prevailing schedule at each job site. Copies of these rates of wages are available from the State of California Department of Industrial Relations Prevailing Wage Unit, Telephone No. (415) 703-4774. Note that the Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the California Department of Industrial Relations. Pursuant to California law, the City must find bids failing to comply with all applicable Labor Code requirements including, without limitation, Labor Code 1725.5 and 1771.4, to be nonresponsive.
