This work shall include furnishing all labor, material, and equipment to complete the project Water Service Replacements Del Prado as described in the specifications and shown in the plans. Work includes removals of existing 3/4"and 1" water services, relocation of existing service lines as needed to attain 4' separation between water and sewer laterals and make the service line perpendicular to the water main, connection to existing or relocated corporation stop at the main with a brass adapter, and installation of new copper water service (size to match existing) from the main to the meter for 68 water services within Boulder City. This work shall also include installation or replacement of water meters, meter boxes, and/or Encoder Receiver Transmitter modules (ERTs) for locations specified (these items will be supplied by the City). This work shall also include asphalt replacements. The bid tabulation document which can be obtained online will be publicly available after opening. The site of work is located within the city limits of Boulder City, Nevada; more specifically, within the Del Prado Subdivision, located on the northeast corner of Utah Street and Adams Boulevard. All work including deficiency list items must be completed within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed by the Owner. The Contractor shall provide a one-year warranty for the scope of work performed in this contract. The one-year warranty shall be from the date of the Notice of Completion. A proposal guarantee is not required. If applicable, bidders shall provide documentation to meet requirements of NRS 338.147 as part of their bid proposal. Workman's Compensation Insurance, Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, a Labor and Material Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, and a Guarantee Bond will be executed as part of the contract agreement. Engineer's Estimate of Probable Cost: $476,000 - $510,000 A pre-bid conference will not be held for this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the Owner. Award of a contract, if it be awarded, will be based primarily on the lowest overall cost to the Owner, and will be made to a responsible bidder whose proposal complies with all the requirements prescribed. Any such award will be made within forty-five (45) calendar days after opening of the proposals, unless a longer waiting period before award is expressly allowed in the Notice Inviting Bids. Unless otherwise indicated, a single award will not be made for less than all the bid items in an individual bidding schedule. In the event there is more than one bidding schedule, the Owner may award schedules individually or in combination. The Contractor, as provided for in the General Conditions, shall pay to the City as fixed and agreed liquidated damages, the amount of $1,500 for each calendar day delay in completion of the work beyond the date specified in the "Notice to Proceed" for the completion of the contract. The Contractor shall be required to achieve completion of the work sufficiently in advance of the Completion Date to complete/correct all deficient items to achieve Final Completion by or before the Completion Date as specified in the "Notice to Proceed." Beneficial use of the improvements by the Owner does not cease the accrual of liquidated damages nor change the daily amount of liquidated damages withheld for each calendar day delay in completion of the work beyond the date specified in the "Notice to Proceed." *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
