Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Codrington, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 2,500-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

Construction of a 2,500 sq ft Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) rearing building along with renovation of an existing building. The ministry, along with an engineer have designed a building and will supply structural, mechanical, and electrical master drawings. This procurement will involve the full construction of the foundation and structure along with the below grade plumbing, electrical installation including completing service to new building. Structural: - Renovations for existing building (named visitor center) to house an effluent treatment from new rearing building - Foundation and structure for new rearing building Mechanical: - Installation of all drains/plumbing (installed in foundation) note: above grade plumbing and RAS specific equipment are not included in this RFB - Installation of drains and basins for the effluent treatment system in the renovated visitor center - Installation of all HVAC equipment Electrical: - Installation of new electrical service for the new building - Installation of a backup generator to supply new building - Installation of all electrical components in new building This RAS will allow the ministry to conduct temperature-controlled experiments and raise cool and warm water fish. This will allow us to conduct experiments in relation to climate change and other fish species not commonly raised in a hatchery setting. Construction to be completed before the winter of 2024.
