The Arizona Administrative Code, Title 18, Chapter 4, Section 215, as adopted by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, requires mandatory installation and annual testing of backflow prevention assemblies where it is determined that backflow is likely to occur. As per this requirement, DPS seeks to enter into a term type contract for contractor(s) to perform the annual inspection, testing, certification and as needed repairs of 61 backflow preventers for DPS facilities listed in Exhibit A, in accordance with the terms, conditions, scope of work/specifications, for the price(s) offered on Attachment B Price Sheet. Whether or not DPS actually enters into any contracts, how many contracts it enters into, and how work is awarded between those contracts are all at the State's discretion. Further, the State will use any awarded contracts on an as-needed basis; it makes no guarantee as to its actual spending under them. The term of the resultant contract shall commence upon award or as specified in the award documents and shall remain in effect for one year unless terminated, canceled, or extended as otherwise provided herein.
