Renovation of a library in Redding, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
The project includes the installation of a new standby generator with associated infrastructure at the Redding Library. The existing service conductors are being intercepted with a new electrical service being installed at the location of the generator and automatic transfer switch. The existing service equipment will be re-fed from the newly installed service equipment. The area around the generator and equipment will be enclosed within a new CMU walled in area. All construction shall be completed as detailed on the plans and in the specifications. Engineer's Estimate is $287,541.00 Contractor shall possess a Class A or C-10 license at the time bid is opened. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified or cashier's check, or original bidder's bond made payable to the City of Redding for an amount equal to at least 10% of the total amount of the bid as a guarantee that the contractor will execute the contract in conformance with his proposal and the specifications. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. For information contact the City of Redding Public Works Engineering at 530-225-4170.
