Demolition of Old Elementary School Building Requests for information, clarifications, and questions shall be submitted to the Construction Manager no later than 5:00pm, Thursday, June20, 2024. Project engineer shall issue addendums as he deems appropriate to answer questions. Each bid, in excess of $50,000, will include a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid offered. It will be in the form of a cashier's check or insurance surety bond using AIA Document A310 with Power of Attorney attached. Bond is to be made payable to Van Horn Construction, Inc. Trade package subcontracts in excess of $50,000 must include the cost of a Performance and Payment bond. Material Purchase Order contracts in excess of $100,000 must include the cost of a supply bond. Successful bidders providing a complete, responsive, and responsiblebid will be required to furnish the bonds on Van Horn Construction'sbond form without alteration, and to execute a subcontract/purchaseorder contract with Van Horn Construction, Inc., which is available forreview in the CM Manual. Bidders must comply with regulatory and licensing requirements of theState of Arkansas as well as all other applicable State statutes. Byproviding a bid, firms accept the obligation to honor bids for a period of60-days after the bid openings. It is the policy of the Owner and CM that minority business enterprises shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the Owner's or the CM purchasing process. Therefore, the Owner and the CM encourage all minority businesses to compete for goods, services, and construction contracts. The Owner and the CM reserve the right to reject any-and-all bids, to waive any formalities, and to accept the proposal deemed to be in their best interest. The proposals will be considered on the basis of cost, the bidder's financial responsibility, their equipment, and their past performance on completing similar work.
