Renovation of an educational facility in Boonton Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
If on this date the Boonton Public School District is closed to all students and all staff or has an early dismissal due to weather or any other emergency that closes all schools and offices for all students and all staff, bids will be due on the next day that the school district is open. Checks should be sent to REVplans at 28 Church Street, Unit 7, Warwick, NY 10990. Plan deposit is refundable in accordance with the terms in the Instructions to Bidders to all submitting bids. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs. Please note REVplans is the designated location and means for distributing and obtaining all bid package information. Only those Contract Documents obtained in this manner will enable a prospective bidder to be identified as an official plan holder of record.There will be no charge for registered plan holders to obtain hard copies of the bid addenda. Bids must be made on the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the specifications to be enclosed in sealed opaque envelopes bearing the name of the job: "Hallway Renovations at Boonton High School - 306 Lathrop Ave, Boonton NJ 07005", and the name and address of the bidder on the outside of the envelope, addressed to: "Steven Gardberg, Boonton Public School District ". The school district is not responsible for bids opened prior to the bid opening if bid name and opening date do not appear on the envelope. Bids opened prior to the due date and time indicated are invalid. The bidder assumes the risk of any delay in the mail or in the handling of the mail by employees of Boonton Public School District as well as of improper hand delivery. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the "Boonton Public School District ", in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Certification of bonding company is required for this bid, see Instructions for Bidders. Each bidder shall agree to hold his/her bid price for sixty (60) days after the formal bid opening. The last day to submit RFI's to be answered is Thursday, June 13, 2024, 5:00 p.m. Although the pre-bid meeting and walk-thru are not mandatory, it is highly recommended that all potential bidders make arrangements to visit the site. The Owner assumes no responsibility whatsoever in connection with any defects arising out of the issuance of the Contract Documents or the receipt or failure to receive Bids, including those which may arise from delay for any reason in obtaining or submitting the Bid, including but not limited to traffic delay, messengering, mis-labeling, mis-directions from any source, mis-delivery or otherwise. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and waive any minor informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law, N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22, if it is in the best interest of the Owner. The Contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Owner.
