Johnny Bird Veterans Memorial Community Building NW Stair Replacement (JBVMB). 1. Project Location: 2010 Chief Four Bears Ave. BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Any deficient bid will be resealed and returned to the Bidder immediately. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: Single Prime Contract (all trades). CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE AND BID SECURITY Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the Bidder's contractor's license and bid security Work is subject to liquidated damages. BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Bidders must comply with all TERO regulations of the Three Affiliated Tribes of North Dakota including, but not limited to, licensing, employment rights, and wage rates. NOTIFICATION This Advertisement for Bids document is issued by Robert White, Councilman - Three Affiliated Tribes - MHA Nation, Four Bears Segment. Site Address: 2010 Chief Four Bears Ave. Description: This project is for the replacement of an existing egress stair tower that is becoming unsuitable for occupancy. The existing stair tower must be removed, and portions of the NW foundation walls will be underpinned with helical foundation piles. The walls which were previously enclosed by the conditioned stair tower construction will be retrofitted for exterior conditions. A new metal structure will be constructed to replace the stairway with additional patio spaces added at both the 1st and 2nd floors. The structure will utilize steel framing with perforated aluminum panel cladding and corrugated metal roof panels with slip-resistant aluminum decking planks. The Stair treads will be open riser metal traction treads. Helical Pile Foundations & Grade Beams will be used to support the new structure. The Existing building is a Mixed-Use occupancy comprised of A-3, A-4, B, & S-1 occupancies. Existing construction is noncombustible/non-rated per IBC construction type II-B and consists of cast-in-place concrete foundation walls with steel floor & roof joists and structural precast planks. The exterior envelope consists of a combination of wall types including architectural precast, insulated metal panels, and fiber cement panels over steel stud or masonry backup. Fenestration consists of hollow metal & aluminum doors, frames, and windows. The existing building has a fire sprinkler system installed throughout. New construction for the renovation / addition is non-combustible/non-rated per IBC Construction Type II-B. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: Single Prime Contract (all trades). CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE AND BID SECURITY Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the Bidder's contractor's license and bid security. The Bidder must be licensed for the full amount of the bid. Bid security in the form of a bidder's bond shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
