Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Marysville, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

On December 16, 2021, after a public comment period, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced new revisions to the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR), the first significant changes in over 30 years. The EPAs new rule, referred to as the Lead and Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI), aims to strengthen the LCR to better protect children and communities from the risks of lead exposure. The EPA identified numerous priority improvements for the LCRI, this project focuses on the proactive and equitable lead service line replacement (LSLR) priority. The City is required to comply with the LCRI by October 16, 2024. To that end, the City of Marysville is completing the 2024 Water Service Line Inventory project, which will fulfill the current requirements of the LCRI. In specific, the City has elected to approach this work per the Statistical Guidance for Group. This work will include excavating both sides of the water meter (utility and customer side), to determine the service line material type at both locations. The water service will also be exposed and inspected at the connection to the water main. Other work will include customer notifications, coordination of utility locates, traffic control, documentation of field observations, site restoration (lawn, mulch, gravel, landscaping), pavement repairs, sidewalk replacement, curb and gutter repairs and other minor incidental work. All work must be completed in accordance with the Contract Documents and the Contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Engineers Estimate for this project is $800,000. Please address any comments and questions you may have to Adam Benton, Project Engineer, at 360.363.8283. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond (with an authorized surety company as surety) made payable to the City of Marysville in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The City of Marysville reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period of fortyfive (45) days. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City.
