The winter storms during February 2019 caused a slope failure adjacent to Marshall Petaluma Road at MP 6.4. Work will generally include the installation a 50' long CIDH retaining wall, grading of the slope in front of the wall, installation of rip rap, subdrain & asphalt grinding & paving. Construction for this project shall ONLY occur between June 15 and October 15 unless granted approval from the County. Nesting bird survey is required if work is to occur between February 15 to August 31. Coordination with the County will be required for nesting bird survey. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class "A" License at time of bid submittal. To bid on this Project, the Bidder and all subcontractors are required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Labor Code. The Bidder's and all subcontractors' registration must remain active throughout the term of the Contract. Bond Notes: A Bid Bond, cash, certified check, or cashier's check, in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the County of Marin shall accompany the Proposal. Award of contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with prescribed requirements, and will be within thirty (30) days after receipt of proposals. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the right to waive any irregularities.
