Site work and paving for a road / highway in Maple Valley, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Work shall be completed within 45 working days from the date of Notice to Proceed. The Work shall consist of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and other work or items incidental thereto for: The project will install safety improvements along roadway segments located throughout the City. These safety improvements included installation of 8" profiled plastic edge striping, reflective raised pavement, markers (RPM), OM2 retroreflective signage in front of utility poles, retroreflective sign post panels on existing regulatory and warning signs. The work includes the following: o Pavement marking installation o New sign installation o Sign and/or post removal, relocation, or replacement per plans This project is a Federal-aid project (Federal Aid. No. HSIP0005(596)) with Seventeen Percent (17%) mandatory DBE goal and training goal of Zero hours. The estimated cost of this project is m the range of $300,000 to $360,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of such, bid proposal, including sales tax. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the Contract Documents, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Maple Valley. The City of Maple Valley, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or gender in consideration for an award. The following is applicable to Federal-aid projects. The City of Maple Valley, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will he afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The contractor, subrecipient, or subcontractor shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex in the performance of this contract. The contractor shall carry out applicable requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 in the award and administration of USDOT-assisted contracts. Failure by the contractor to carry out these requirements is a. material breach of this contract which may result in the termination of this contract or such other remedy as the recipient deems appropriate, which may include, but is not limited to: (1) Withholding monthly progress payments; (2) Assessing sanctions; (3) Liquidated damages, or (4) Disqualifying the contractor from future bidding as non-responsible. Small, minority and womenowned business are encouraged to participate in the bidding as prime contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid or in the bidding process, and make the award as deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
