Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Maple Valley, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

Description, of Work: It will be the Contractor's responsibility to provide all required equipment, materials, and labor to complete all requested work including proper disposal of materials. The Work will consist of installation of a generator at Lake Wilderness Lodge, located at 22500 SE 248th Street, Maple Valley, WA 98038. The work includes: 1. Installation of Owner Purchased 150KW Generator, Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and Manual Transfer Switch (MTS), and associated conduits and wire. 2.Boring from existing service power pole under the road to the trench area and installing conduits for PSE primary wire. 3.Trenching from the road to the new PSE provided 150 KVA transformer and installing the remaining conduit for PSE primary wire. 4. Excavation for the PSE provided transformer vault. 5.Installation of a utility disconnect. 6.Trenching from the transformer vault area to the south side of the Lake Wilderness Lodge main entrance. 7 Boring under the main entrance sidewalk into the electrical room in the basement 8.Installation of secondary conduit and wire from transformer/ disconnect to the ATS in the basement. 9. Removal and reinstallation of dirt from the flower bed and installation of conduits and wire from the MTS to the ATS in the basement. Include allowance for new plants in planting strip along side of LWL. 10.Coordinate a planned outage day which includes: a. Coordination with the Owner 6-8 weeks in advance of outage. b. Coordination with PSE for the planned outage. c. Coordination with Cummins for onsite representative to test and commission Generator, ATS, and MTS after cutover. d. Demolish the existing secondary wire from the existing transformers to the existing main switchboard. e. Completion of the conduit and wire from the ATS to the existing Switch board while PSE disconnects existing service and connects new service. f. Phase verification and all required testing. g. Restoration of visually affected areas around the Lake Wilderness Lodge occurring due to this project work. 11.Installation of new LED lighting in Electrical Room. 12.As-built drawings. The estimated, cost of this project is in the range of $250,000. All questions shall be in written form and submitted per the "Questions" section. Contractors assume the risk for the method of delivery. The City of Maple Valley assumes no responsibility for delays caused by delivery. Question Deadline 10/23/2024 at 12:00 PM PT Questions related to this Invitation to Bid must be submitted in writing to Jennifer Fink, Parks Capital Project Manager at Jennifer.Fink@MapleVaIleyWA.gov or (425) 413-6678. All questions must be received. Questions received after this date may not be answered. It shall, be the responsibility of the bidder to submit their bid proposal by the date and time specified. Any pricing, configuration, or other errors discovered after bid opening must remain and cannot be adjusted. The contract duration is for no longer than six months; however, the Contractor must complete the Contract Work in accordance with the plans and specifications as soon as possible. If the generator does not arrive within the said six months, the city will issue an extension to the contract. The contract total will be subject to Washington State Sales Tax. The Contractor is obligated to pay Washington State Department of Labor and Industries Prevailing Wages, Rates for King County. It is the Bidder's responsibility to obtain wage information for any work classifications that are not included. The Contractor will be required to comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunities. The City reserves the right to make bid awards to the lowest, responsible bidder as deemed in the best interested of the City. The City anticipates issuing Notice to Proceed as soon as the Contract and all required associated documents are executed in full, but no later than December 15, 2024. This Invitation to Bid may be canceled at the discretion of the City, If the invitation is canceled, notice of cancellation will be sent to all parties who have registered on the Plan-holders list at online. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding, and to make the award to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder as determined by the City. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the hour set for the opening unless the award is delayed for a period exceeding 60 working days.
