Renovation of a mixed-use development in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.

Reference Number 0000359026 The Town of West Springfield in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 149, is seeking sealed bids for audio visual equipment and installation at West Springfield High School. Wages are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H inclusive. Question Deadline 08/26/2024 at 4:00 PM ET Questions are submitted online Yes. General Requirements - Certified Payroll - Insurance Required - Prevailing Wage Required Award Requirements - All or None Award Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Payment Bond 50 %. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a licensed surety company, or a Certified check, or a Treasurer's or Cashier's check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the base bid payable to the Town of West Springfield. A Payment bond in the amount of 50% of the Contract Price will be required of the Successful Bidder. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish workmen's compensation insurance and public liability insurance. All work shall be completed by December 31, 2024. A $500/day penalty charge will be assessed if the contractor does not meet the specified final completion date. The contract shall be awarded by the Chief Procurement Officer, which reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in part or in whole, any and all proposals or to take whatever action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of West Springfield. Bids will remain firm for sixty (60) days following the opening of proposals. The scope of this project is to upgrade an existing multimedia system in the West Springfield High School Auditorium. The video switching system's main function is toggle the projector on and off, control volume for the projector and wireless microphone, switch between input HDMI plates, and toggle lighting presets. End users have reported issues with loose HDMI connections, unresponsive touchscreens, and a lack of an aux cord while using the touchscreen in simple mode. In addition to the typical functionality of the video switching system, the touch screens also offer advanced and simple mode options. While in advanced mode, inputs on the Biamp processor are unmuted allowing access to the Allen and Heath mixer. The requested equipment is: Stage pockets (3) - Single Gang HDMI/USB-C Input Plate Desk Console (1) - Two Gang Dual HDMI Input Plate, USB-C in addition to HDMI is preferred Control Room (1) - Two Gang Dual HDMI Input Plate, USB-C in addition to HDMI is preferred Video Switcher (1)- 8 input, 1 output - HD Base T or equivalent - Video switcher must have audio outputs for program output Audio Visual Processor (1) - Crestron CP4N or equivalent processor - must have relays and RS232 outputs for DSP and lighting control Network Switch (1) - Gigabit Network Switch for AV Control and Switching - Netgear, Qsys, or Ubiquiti Receiver (1) Receiver for projector - HDMI output Touchscreen (2) 10" Touchscreens for use at the console desk and one installed in the AV booth - both touchscreens can mirror each other and don't need to operate independently of each other
