The project location in the County of Santa Cruz is as follows: East Cliff Drive, Portola Drive, 13th Avenue, and Corcoran Avenue Work includes rehabilitating existing sanitary sewer manholes. In early 2024, the Santa Cruz County Sanitation District (District) completed the East Cliff Drive Sewer Replacement Project which included replacement of existing public sewer lines along East Cliff Drive, installing new manhole frame and covers, and final restorations. The District seeks to rehabilitate the sewer manholes on East Cliff Drive, Portola Drive, Corcoran Avenue and 13th Avenue. This project will include such tasks as removal of existing steps inside some manholes, manhole lining and channel lining as shown on the Manhole Rehabilitation Table (Page 3). All the manholes for this project are either brick or concrete, as noted. Note that all assessment reports and photos shown for this project were taken prior to the installation of the new manholes, frames and covers, new PVC sewer mains, and new tracer wires as part of the East Cliff Drive Sewer Replacement Project completed on May 10, 2024. All new improvements must be protected or replaced in kind at no expense to the District. The Contractor must have either a Class A license or a combination of Class C licenses which constitutes a majority of the work: C-34, C-36, C-42, and C61/D06&D12. Complete the work within: 45 working days. The estimated cost of the project is: $300,000.00. The District is soliciting bid proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to provide construction as detailed in this Specification. Work includes the repair and rehabilitation of thirteen existing brick manholes and fourteen existing concrete manholes.
