Notice is hereby given that Glenville State University will accept sealed bids for the Pioneer Way Improvements project, located at 200 High Street, Glenville, West Virginia. The project involves the installation of a precast concrete MSE retaining wall system, (with an exposed face of approximately 6,000 square feet), along with all necessary site excavation, soil placement and compaction, and geogrid placement. Also included will be new concrete sidewalks, approximately 17,000 square feet of concrete pavers, exterior site lighting, stormwater system extensions, and metal guard fabrications. Hard copy documents may be inspected, free of charge, at the following location: Glenville State University 200 High Street Glenville, WV 26351 (304) 462-6183 A satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid must be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be also be required to furnish satisfactory 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment bonds in the amount of the contract price and signed by a West Virginia agent. Bids will be made on a lump sum basis. Neither US Department of Labor Wage Rates, nor West Virginia Division of Labor Wage Rates apply to this project. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of bid opening without the consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any irregularity therein. Bids from Bidders debarred by the State of WV or Federal Government are not permitted. All Bidders and sub-bidder(s) as Contractor and Subcontractor(s) are required to utilize "local labor" pursuant to Chapter 21-Article 1C, the "West Virginia Jobs Act". Any documentation or information submitted to the Owner is considered a public document or public information and may be subject to disclosure through any Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request including proprietary or confidential information.
