The Town of Weare is seeking bids for the services of Roadside Mowing. Summary: The Town of Weare is seeking bid pricing for the roadside mowing of Class V roads in Weare, New Hampshire. Bids will be accepted on both a mower with operator cost and a mower only cost on a per mile basis. Scope of Work: Roads/locations requiring mowing services will be determined by the Interim Public Works Director based on need and funding available. Mowing to include a minimum of 8-10 feet of horizontal mowing from edge of pavement or gravel road. Additional mowing may be required in intersections and corners to obtain and maintain line of sight. The removal of debris deemed hazardous from travel lanes of roadways as a result of mowing operations. Certified traffic control personnel or signage to be provided by the contractor, with the understand that emergency vehicles and school buses will not be delayed. The Town of Weare requests that the work be performed by the successful bidders' own personnel. Any subcontractors must be pre-approved by the Interim Public Works Director. Bid price proposals must be clearly stated on the proposal sheet in price per mile. The bid price must include all increases for the duration of the contract with a completion date of October 31, 2024 The Town of Weare reserves the right to modify road lengths. Schedule: Start as early July 9, 2024. Completion no later than October 31, 2024. An overview and detailed specifications are provided later in the Request for Proposal (RFP) The Board of Selectmen have the right to thoroughly review all proposals and postpone a decision until a later scheduled meeting. In order to be considered, each prospective contractor must submit the following documents as part of the proposal: 1. Proposal Sheet 2. Authorized Agent Acknowledgement Form 3. Form W-9 The Town of Weare, NH reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids. Contract Term: The term of this contract shall be from July 9, 2024, through October 31, 2024. The Town reserves the right to terminate this contract in the event it determines that the Contractor has failed to satisfactorily perform in the Contract. Whether the Contractor is granted the right to cure unsatisfactory performance rests solely with the Board of Selectmen. The sole right and benefit extended to the Contractor upon termination of the contract shall be the right to cover payment for work already performed in accord with the terms of the Contract.
