As of August 23, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The goal of this IFB is to repair (dredge) an existing private pond and install a new rural fire protection water supply system at 75 Soaring Pines Drive, Perkinsville, VT 05151. 3.1 REPAIR (dredge) an existing private pond, remove trees and brush around pond edge, and install a NEW rural fire protection water supply system at 75 Soaring Pines Drive, according to the design specifications in Attachment A. 3.2 Remove trees and stumps from the dam. Repair dam adding proper materials as needed. 3.3 Hydrant shall be protected by 6x6 pressure treated guard posts. (Guard posts need to be placed in front of dry-hydrant riser with 2x8 pressure treated board placed between 6X6s just below inlet height and be able to deflect vehicles or fire apparatus. 3.4 Maximum Suction Lift does not exceed 15 feet (Maximum Suction Lift is the vertical measured distance from the surface of the estimated low water level to the eye of the pump). 3.5 Provide Access to hydrant suitable for Fire apparatus. 3.6 Signage to be installed - "No Parking Fire Lane" 3.7 Paint exposed hydrant to protect from UV damage (color to be determined by Fire Department). 3.8 Clean up, smooth, and reseed/ revegetate all disturbed areas. 3.9 Clean any debris from roadways.
