The Village of Whitefish Bay is soliciting bids for pavement and stormwater improvements at the Village of Whitefish Bay Craig Counsell Park on N Lydell Ave. Question Deadline 07/01/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The project consists of the removal of, concrete sidewalk, concrete pavement, asphalt pavement, landscape, erosion control, temporary traffic control, construction staking, construction of porous asphalt, asphalt, restoration and other associated improvements at the Village of Whitefish Bay. Project includes all labor, equipment, materials and all work necessary in connection with the construction of the biofilters, porous pavement, landscaping and pavement restoration. All bidders shall bid upon the forms provided. The Contract Documents require that the selected Contractor furnish a Certificate of Insurance and Payment and Performance Bonds. The Contractor is hereby notified that the Certificate of Insurance and Payment and Performance Bonds will be required to be issued in the amount of the bid and that the Village of Whitefish Bay reserves the right to enforce the conditions contained therein as it relates to the contract. STATUTORY PROVISIONS: 1. The contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes, including Sections 61.55, 61.56, 62.15, 66.0901, 66.0903, 779.14 and 779.16. 2. Contractors and Subcontractors will comply with applicable Regional, State, and Federal requirements for wages. 3. "Qualification of Bidder" forms for the current year shall be on file with the Public Works Department at least four (4) days prior to the affixed time of the Bid Opening, in accordance with Section 66.0903 of the Wisconsin State Statutes. BID GUARANTEE: Only those bids that are accompanied by a Bid Bond or unqualified certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid will be considered. The Bid Bond or certified check shall be issued in the applicable amount of the bid for the Village of Whitefish Bay. The bid bond or certified check serves as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the agreement and a 100% Performance and Payment Bond within fifteen (15) days after the Notice of Award. In case the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set forth, the certified check or Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the Village of Whitefish Bay as liquidated damages. BID WITHDRAWAL: No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (60) days after the bid opening date without the consent of the Village of Whitefish Bay.
