Renovation of a water / sewer project in Avoca, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Project includes the following Work: Modification to an existing water treatment plant. The project includes process piping, treatment equipment, painting, electrical, control integration, and miscellaneous appurtenant work. Question Deadline 07/09/2024 Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $3,000,000. The Project has an expected duration of 550 days. Est. Value: $ 3,100,000.00 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. The in-place densities shall be taken in the finished subgrade prior to the placement of base or pavement, in various layers in the trench backfill for sanitary sewer, water main and/or storm sewers, in embankments and fills, and in structural fills. 1. It is understood that a nuclear densometer will be used to determine in-place densities and that a laboratory conducted proctor compaction test is required. B. The Contractor shall notify the testing laboratory prior to initiating any excavation more than the minimum necessary to reach design elevations. The necessity for any additional excavation due to poor or unstable soil or any other site conditions shall be determined by the testing laboratory.
