Renovation of a detention facility in Prince George, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Youth Custody Interim Holding Unit in Prince George. The scope of work includes an assessment of two scenarios: Scenario #1 New construction of a mobile modular or permanent structure located at Prince George Regional Correctional Centre (PGRCC). Scenario #2 Tenant improvements security enhancements to the Bowron House located adjacent to Prince George Youth Custody Centre. (PGYCC). The intent of assessing these two scenarios is to identify the optimal option for the construction of a Youth Custody Holding Unit (2,500 to 3,000 sq.ft) in Prince George. TIMELINE: Request for proposal for a prime consultant for design team to assist in producing feasibility study is closed; preferred proponent is selected. The province seeks to engage professional Prime Consultant/Architect and consulting team consisting of the following disciplines structural, mechanical, electrical, security, code, and quantity surveyor. Further update in late summer 2025, upon approvals.
