Site work for a water / sewer project in Norton Shores, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of constructing the following: 815 feet of 6-inch and 4,405 feet of 8-inch water main including fittings, hydrants, valves, and water services. City of Norton Shores will provide all water main materials. Contractor must furnish adequate material, equipment, labor, and supervision to complete the specified work, which also includes testing, inspection, and placing the system in operation. All work shall be substantially completed (water main in service and roads open to traffic on or before October 2, 2024. Final restoration and project completion shall occur on or before November 1, 2024. See Agreement for specific milestone requirements. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to City of Norton Shores in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of ninety (90) days after the receipt of bids The work to be performed under this contract will be paid for with State of Michigan Grant funds. All contract payments will be made by City of Norton Shores. Federal prevailing wages do apply to this project. See Appendix A for Wage Determinations. The City will award the project in a manner determined to be in the City's best interest. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids in the City's best interest.
