Site work and paving for a road / highway in Norton Shores, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consist of hot-in-place recycling of existing pavement, appurtenances, and miscellaneous related items. This project shall be coordinated to be performed simultaneously with separate project, HMA Milling, Overlay & Resurfacing of the same roadways, BP24-04. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to coordinate this work with other concurrent project. The project shall be completed by October 4, 2024. DEPOSIT: 5% of bid amount The work will consist of hot-in-place pavement recycling of the existing pavement along the selected roadways between the POB and POE for the full width of the pavement. The road shoulders and butt joints shall be milled only where indicated by the City and tapered such that the placement of the top course will be ¼” above the existing driveways, concrete curb, and gutters. Butt joints shall be milled at a taper over a 12 foot length or more to ensure a smooth transition between the new and existing surface. The existing crown and road grade shall match existing grades. The HMA overlay contractor shall be responsible for milling the roadway along curbing, drives, and butt joints for the overlay. The Contractor shall coordinate his work with that of the HMA overlay pavement Contractor. Work will also include all other accompanying work and equipment. The Contractor shall protect and/or restore the existing vegetation at their expense.
