LED Lighting Retrofit - Materials The City of Danbury (City) is accepting bids for materials to retrofit the existing interior lighting in multiple City owned buildings and schools as shown in the Attachments and Price Bid Form. The intent of this project is to retrofit the existing lighting with high efficiency LED retrofit products that are either Design Lights Consortium (DLC) or Energy Star rated products, including, but not limited to, hardwired integrated LED retrofits for troffers. Resource Lighting + Energy (RLE) will be managing the bid and award process as well as overall project execution on behalf of the City, and RLE is coordinating with Eversource to secure lighting incentive rebates. RLE completed the energy audit of the City buildings in September 2023. The energy audit information is included in Attachment A which details the existing fixture and basis of design retrofit fixture with imbedded lighting controls; Attachment B includes a map of the City with each project location. RLE has already submitted the lighting retrofit design to Eversource to obtain a Letter of Agreement (LOA) that will verify the anticipated lighting incentive for this project and the expected Eversource installation schedule. As detailed in Attachment A, the majority of the basis of design (BOD) fixtures with imbedded controls is Acuity. The City of Danbury and its project partner (RLE) reserves the right to reject bids, in whole or in part, to waive minor irregularities in the bidding, and to award the bid to other than the low bidder if deemed in the best interest of the City. Answers to the RFI questions are anticipated to be posted to the City of Danbury Bid Posting by 5pm on Thursday, June 27, 2024.
