Renovation of a service station / car wash facility in Walton, Indiana. Working plans call for the renovation of a service station / car wash facility.
As of July 29, 2024 this project is on hold due to over budget Project Description: Project consists of renovations to an existing single-story building to be used as a secondary station for Cass County EMS. The building measures approximately 2,350 SF and is a postframe wood structure with metal roofing and metal siding. The space will be finished out with new living room, kitchen, two (2) bedrooms, bathroom with shower, and laundry area. The garage area will be largely unaltered other than new lighting and new liner panel on the interior walls. The two (2) 12'x12' overhead doors will remain. New HVAC system(s) are anticipated throughout the building. Sub-slab plumbing work will be needed to install the new kitchen and bathroom. No sprinkler system exists but a new NFPA 13D sprinkler system will be required in the bedrooms. No exterior work is anticipated. All those who are requiring Bidding Documents must submit the following information by e-mailing tammyp@kjgarchitecture.com. (This information will be used to make the Plan Holders List. The Plan Holders List is used to send out addendum information.) Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Substantial completion of the work shall be attained no later than 3:00 p.m. local time on November 20, 2024. 1. Project cost range is anticipated to be under $250,000.00. Project Location: 6491 E County Road 650 S, Walton, IN 46994 Project schedule is as follows: Start date is anticipated to be July 15, 2024 with completion date of November 20, 2024. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. DOCUMENTS NOTE : A. Printed Procurement and Contracting Documents: Obtain after June 6, 2024, by contacting Blue Print Specialties at 1500 Union Street, Lafayette, Indiana 47904 or by calling (765) 742-6976. Requestor of printed documents will pay all costs charged by Blue Print Specialties. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
