The City is interested in entering into a continuing contract for temporary professional planning services with Planning and Landscaping Architectural Consulting firms to assist the Development Services Department with current and long-range planning services to facilitate the day-to-day work/assignments of the Department and the City. The City reserves the right to select up to the three (3) highest ranked consultants to be retained with work being allocated on a rotation work order basis. 1. To allow for teaming opportunities and to maximize competition, the City for this qualifications-based procurement, allows for a firm to submit as a Prime and also to join other teams as a subconsultant. Additionally, there is no limit to the number of teams a firm can join as a Subconsultant. 2. The City and consultant(s) will together define deliverables and execute their completion through mutually agreed upon separate work authorization, which will include a scope of work, schedule and not to exceed compensation amount (lump-sum). 3. Once signed by both parties, each work authorization, together with a notice to proceed, will function as the authorization to commence and complete the agreed deliverables. A fully executed work order and subsequent notice to proceed will be required prior to any work being performed. 4. The services identified within the "Scope of Services4. The services identified within the "Scope of Services" section is an outline of general activities that can be expected to be performed under the agreement. A more specific and deliverable-based scope of work will be provided within each individual work order issued pursuant to the agreement. The City shall request consultant services on an as-needed basis. There is no guarantee that any or all of the services described in the Scope of Services will be assigned during the term of the agreement. The City may, at its sole option, elect to have any or none of the services assigned.
